A simple yet satisfying kidney-friendly roasted Brussels sprouts. This recipe is a set it and forget it recipe where you can get other things done while it's in the oven.

Ingredients 

  • 1 lb Brussel sprouts
  • 5 Garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 5 tbsp Olive oil
  • Fresh black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Cut off the bottom of brussels sprouts, and slice each in half top to bottom.
  • In a large mixing bowl, toss the brussels sprouts with oil, garlic, and pepper.
  • Add brussel sprouts to a large cast-iron pan or casserole dish and roast them in the oven, shaking the pan every 10 minutes, until sprouts are brown and tender. About 30-40 minutes.
  • Stir in balsamic vinegar, and serve hot.

    “best I’ve ever had” –my husband. I used the same ingredients but cooked on the roast setting of my air fryer, they were perfect in 10 minutes.
