Chronic kidney disease describes a condition where one or both kidneys are damaged and losing their ability to filter and remove wastes and excess water from your blood. 1 in 3 adults are at risk for CKD with risk factors including diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, a family history of kidney disease and being over the age of 60.
When I first started my plant-based diet I was having a lot of trouble finding things to snack on. Eating apples, bananas, and oranges can get old quickly. I quickly found that the secret to snacking on a plant-based diet was simply prep snacks in advance. Making crackers, granola bars, and veggie chips ahead of time in bulk can make your life a whole lot easier.
